The IEC-CET, started in 1999, constituted the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Initially, it offered MCA degree, and a Bachelors of Technology in five branches, namely Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology. Within a few years, two more degree program i.e. MBA and MTech(Power System) were introduced.

The colleges and its academic facilities are organized over 10.5 acres (42,492 m²), and the remaining 6.5 acres (26,304.6 m²) have been kept for residential facilities, a shopping arcade and other commercial ventures that benefit students and staff residing on the campus.
The facilities have been distributed over well-planned and well-constructed blocks. They are spacious, allowing students as well as administrative staff and faculty members adequate personal space.
The college has a total builtup area of more than 6 lacs sq. ft. comprising 9 Academic Blocks, hostel for girls (In- Campus) and for boys (off-Campus) and other amenities.
