Hope Not Hate is not a membership organisation in the traditional sense: supporters have no right to make or alter policy/initiate campaigns. That is reserved for those running Searchlight magazine, of which it is an appendage (it has no independent bank account). It is very much a campaign of the internet (virtual) age and has been strongly criticised on this and other grounds by veteran anti-fascists grouped around Notes From the Borderland magazine
