. Founded in 1959, the school offers boys and girls a program based on the Episcopal education tradition of inclusion, exploration and respect for self and others. The school's stated mission is to "develop in students a love of learning, respect for self and others, faith in God, and a sense of service to the world community," according to the school website: www.hies.org.

Holy Innocents' is one of the largest Episcopal schools in the United States with a PK-12 enrollment of some 1,300. In recent years, the school has undergone dramatic expansion: constructing a new Middle School building, doubling the size of the gymnasium and athlete-training complex, and adding more on-campus sports fields. Further additions are planned over the next several years.
