Services

Harrison Township provides many of its own services or contracts them out. Currently residents have either Southwest Water Company supply water or have local wells. Electricity is provided by Duke, cable television by Comcast, and high-speed cable Internet access by Comcast.

Fire protection is provided by the Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Department (HTVFCO). HTVFCO keeps 3 firefighters on station from 7AM to 5PM Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. David Dwyer is the Fire Chief; Asst. Chief Mark Mcnulty. HTVFCO has five vehicles, rescue, engine, tanker, brush truck, and support. Approximately 20 volunteers, and 3 dayshift paid firefighters, staff the station.
