platform since 1997. Most of this time, it has been time-sharing with Fox Kids

, which was broadcast during the day. This timeshare is mirrored in many analogue cable networks. On September 1, 2009, the Hallmark Channel will disappear from the Canal Digital package.
In 1998, the channel became available on the analogue Viasat
platform where it was broadcasting 24 hours per day. It continued broadcasting on the Viasat platform when it switched to digital.
Distributors have announced that NBC Universal has decided that the channel will stop broadcasting on August 31, 2009.
