The HMMGG Festival is an annual event held near Minocqua

graduates. The festival, sometimes referred to as Burning He-Man North (a reference to the Burning Man

During a brief period of time in the late 1980s and early 1990s the event was open to public participation but in the mid-1990s it reverted to its roots as an invitation-only event. In addition to original art, the HMMGG Festival typically includes excursions to the nearby Lake Superior region for the inspiration and creation of work en plein air
