during December 2009 and returned to make his first United appearance in over two years, featuring as a late substitute in the club's Scottish Cup win over St Johnstone

Domestic career
Cameron progressed through the Dundee United youth program, making his debut midway through the 2004–05 season. In October 2006, his progress saw him sign a new contract, taking him up to 2010. In April 2007, Cameron scored his first goals for United, netting twice in a 4–2 win away to AberdeenAberdeen F.C.
