Astonishing X-Men #25. In Uncanny X-Men #500 the under construction facility was visited by Sadie Sinclair, the mayor of San Francisco. As of Uncanny X-Men #504 Graymalkin was also inhabited by depowered mutants.
Life at Graymalkin Industries was short lived, as soon after, anti-mutant sentiment propagated by Simon Trask and aided by the actions of Norman Osborn, caused riots to explode in San Francisco. This along with Proposition X (which would outlaw mutant reproduction) resulted in public opinion to shift against the X-Men. In order to protect his people, Cyclops has Asteroid M resurrected from the ocean floor, and made into the last X-Men base "Utopia". Graymalkin Industries is now abandoned.
Like the Xavier School, Graymalkin contains many of the same features. The Danger Room
