A Night at the Family Dog is the first non-sequential release in a series of live digital downloads of the band the Grateful Dead
released by The Grateful Dead Productions. It was released on December 6, 2005 alongside Grateful Dead Download Series Volume 8
. The show was recorded from a February 4, 1970 show at the Family Dog at the Great Highway in San Francisco, CA. Three of the songs were actually aired on a PBS special during that time.
Additional material was added to complete the disc. Dancing in the Streets from October 5, 1970 and Good Lovin from December 31, 1970 made it onto the release.
A Night... was mastered in HDCD by Jeffrey Norman.
