living together, 8.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.2% were non-families. 33.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.29 and the average family size was 2.98.
In the city the population was spread out with 24.6% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 28.6% from 25 to 44, 23.7% from 45 to 64, and 14.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 91.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.6 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $54,099, and the median income for a family was $82,456. Males had a median income of $61,522 versus $31,051 for females. The per capita income

Popular local restaurants include Little Joe's, Big Boy's, Luca's Chophouse, and Brick Street.
The city also hosts a Farmers' Market which was started in 2006 by then Community and Economic Development Director Keith Leonard. The Market is located on Grand Boulevard directly across from City Hall and held on every Sunday starting at the end of May and runs through the autumn of each year. The Market features locally grown produce,food, arts, crafts and other family oriented events.
