’s Office of Press Relations. Mr. Gallegos, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Counselor, is the Director of the State Department’s Office of Press Relations. His most recent assignment was as Spokesman and Public Affairs Advisor for the Department’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs.

Previously, he served as the Public Affairs Advisor at the U.S. Interests Section in Havana, Cuba, and at the U.S. Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago. He has served in the Department’s Bureau of European Affairs, and has been assigned to tours in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Nicaragua.
