Giorgio Stracquadanio is an Italian
politician and journalist.
He began his political careers in the 1980s as activist of the Radical Party in Milan
with the municipal councillor Tiziana Maiolo.
In 1996 he unsuccessfully run as MP for Silvio Berlusconi
's Polo delle Libertà.
In 2006 he is elected MP with Forza Italia
at the Italian Senate
. While still taking part in Forza Italia's activities, he joins the parliamentary group "Democrazia Cristiana per le Autonomie" to allow them to reach the minimum required quorum for group constitution. As a MP, he rejected a proposal for diminishing of MP's salary and benefits..
In 2006 he is elected member of the General Council of the Transnational Radical Party
.
In 2008 general elections, he is not elected but receives the seat of Cristiana Muscardini
who opts for the European Parliament
. He then sits with the People of Freedom at the Italian Chamber of Deputies
