Comin, who is a professional journalist, teaches Communication strategies at the Department of Economics of the Luiss University and is a member of the non-profit association of Civita. He is also a member of the National Council of Confindustria
and a board member of the Italy-Japan Foundation. He has also taught communication at various Master and training courses for several universities, institutes and organizations, including the CSM (Consiglio Superiore della Magistratura – Superior Council of Magistracy).
Gianluca Comin began his career in 1986 as economic and parliamentary editor at the Rome
office of the “Il Gazzettino” newspaper. In 1998 he became a Head of the Press Office of the Ministry of Public Works and the spokesman for the Minister.
In 1999 Comin was appointed External Communications Director at the Montedison S.p.A. Rome office, where he was in charge of Communication for the IPO of Compart Montedison, of Compart Burgo, of Falck-Sondel at Compart-Montedison, of Fiat-Edf at Compart Montedison. At that time he was also managing and coordinating relations with Italian and EU institutional authorities.
In September 2001 he was named Head of Communication and Media Relations of Telecom Italia
