In the early years of his artistic career, Dulbecco's works are expressionistic.
In the last years of the 60s, when he moves to Rome, his art becomes influenced by the metaphysical art to develop a style of painting reminiscent of magic realism
. Loocking for a refined technique devotes his paintings to incorporate in his art subject matter such as history, literature, philosophy, and mythology.
In July 2002 the Italian Ministry for Heritage and Cultural Affairs supports his significant anthological exhibition in Ravello
