In his first professional season, 1975, he played for the Visalia Mets, going 8-3 with a 3.71 ERA in 17 games. From 1976 to 1978 he played for the Jackson Mets
, going 4-7 with a 4.14 ERA in 1976, 7-11 with a 3.21 ERA in 1977, and 0-1 with a 3.60 ERA in 1978. He played his final professional season in 1979 with the Bakersfield Outlaws
