In 1991 Fury qualified third for the Bathurst 12 hour in a Galant VR4 during the race the vehicle encountered a problem with its engine computer when it didn't recognise the use of unleaded fuel to repair the problem the battery was disconnected to erase its memory, Fury finished the race in 10th place.
