 figure skater. He was the 2006 U.S. Junior bronze medalist and placed third at the Junior Grand Prix final in 2005. In his first year as a senior, he has been given two senior Grand Prix assignments.

In his first senior Grand Prix appearance at Skate Canada, Varner placed 11th.

Geoffry has two older brothers. Jeremy is a professional baseball player for the Chicago Cubs farm system.
