The team has had up to 70 swimmers in the 2007–2008 season. This swim team included all who wanted to swim (despite skill level) under Coach Jill Milla. Coach Milla advocated strong team spirit and sportsmanship with her athletes at every team practice and competition. Gaithersburg's swim season consists of 1 Scrimmage, 6 Dual Meets, 1 Relay Carnival, 1 Divisional Meet, 1 County Meet, and 1 Metro Meet. There are two changes to the schedule to accommodate the additional State meets: no more Relays Carnival and County Championships; MCPS swimmers compete in the Regional and State Championships right after Metros.
