In 1995 Fredrik started writing instrumental music which became the foundation for Rising Shadows

 project that was started by Fredrik in 1996. With no real focus the project was put to rest and Fredrik instead started writing music for short films. In 2004 Rising Shadows was joined by female vocalist Linda-li which led to new material being recorded, they have so far released three albums, Falling Deep Within (2006), Found In The Cold (2008) and Finis Gloriae Mundi (2011).

Fredrik's first solo album "Chronicles In Decay" was released in 2007 and is a collection of rare and unreleased tracks from a ten year period. The second album The Resilience came out in 2008 but was already written back in 2002/2003. The third album Works of Woe was released in 1999, an album which consists of nine classical piano pieces. Each song being based on a different poem by Edgar Allan Poe.

Two of his more recent projects are Anima Morte and ChansoNoir
