Francesco di Paola Villadecani (born 22 February 1780 in Messina in Sicily

of the Catholic Church and was Archbishop of Messina from 1823 to 1861.
He was made a cardinal in January 1843 by Pope Gregory XVI.
He did not take part in the 1846 conclave
which chose Pope Pius IX.
