"Fourth screen" is a generally accepted term used in a number of advertising and technology industries, to refer to a small portable video screen such as those found in mobile
(cellular) phones or other portable electronic devices such as a video iPod
player. Sometimes referred to as the "Third Screen."
While the term is gaining acceptance into popular usage, it is not as well known as “Cell “PDA
” and “mobile
” which are other terms used in the English-speaking world to refer to these very popular electronic devices.
Today, people use mobile devices in ways that open new possibilities for Documentary Practice
