The tables below show the current makeup of the UAE Football League system. The UAE Football League sits at the top of the pyramid and currently two teams get promoted/relegated between the UFL and Division 2 Group A.

Although Division 2 Group A and Division 2 Group B would make it feel that both leagues are played at the same level, this is not the case. In theory, they are level 2 and level 3. Again, two teams are promoted/relegated between both levels.
