In late October, 2010 it was reported that Fly Scooters had sent a letter to its dealers announcing that the company was shutting down due to poor sales volume. As of Spring, 2011, the company website (http://www.flyscooters.com) was updated with a message addressed to dealers, customers, and friends confirming that the company is closed.
