Feists generally are small (shorter than 18 inches/45 cm, and weigh less than 30 lbs/13.61 kg), short-coated dogs with long legs, a pointed (snipy) nose. The ears set high on the head and are button, erect, or short hang ears. Traditionally the tail is a natural bobtail or docked.
