, James Creitz and Sadao Harada, to create the D'Amici String Quartet. Agostini has performed as a soloist with the Orchestra Sinfonica della RAI, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the Bavarian Chamber Philharmonic.

Agostini has also been active as a teacher since 1978. He taught eight years at the Conservatories of Venice and Trieste. From 1992 he was a Professor of violin and chamber music at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen. He is currently an Associate Professor at Indiana University

Agostini is part of the jury of the Concours de Genève and the Concorso Internazionale per Quartetto d'Archi di Cremona.
