The Federação Anarquista Gaúcha, or FAG, was formed November 18, 1995 in one of the meetings of the Uruguayan Anarchist Federation, in Montevideo

The FAG was fundamental in setting up the Foro del Anarquismo Organizado, an initiative which fosters the creation of organized anarchist groups throughout Brazil with the mid-term objective of establishing a nationwide anarchist federation. It also co-operates with the various anarchist organizations that participate in the Anarkismo.net
project.
