FAW Trophy

The FAW Welsh Trophy is a knock-out football competition contested annually by teams from Wales
.
The Football Association of Wales
is the organising body of this competition, which has been run (except during the two World Wars) every year since its inception in 1890–91 for clubs competing in the lower echelons of the pyramid.
It was originally known as the Welsh Amateur Cup until 1974, when it was re-named the FAW Intermediate Trophy, and took on its current title in 1993.
Teams plying their trade in and below Welsh Football League
Division 2, the Mid Wales Football League, the Welsh Alliance League
and Welsh National League (Wrexham Area)
are eligible to feature.
All applying clubs must also meet the Competition Ground Criteria requirements.
