Organisation

The first session of the General Assembly of EMUNI was summoned in November 2008, where its bodies were elected. EMUNI's President became Prof. Dr. Joseph Mifsud. EMUNI Management Board currently has 11 members, mainly rectors of member universities, while the EMUNI Senate is composed of 25 Members. The both bodies discuss and adopt decisions at its regular sessions.


EMUNI has 179 member institutions, including universities and other higher-education and research institutions from 38 countries.

 Area. Acting as a coordinator and facilitator of joint academic and research activities, EMUNI is becoming a focal point for exchange of staff and students of partner institutions.

The activities of EMUNI include MA and PhD programmes, seminars, conferences, summer schools, professional courses and other activities. In the end of 2008, the International Journal of Euro-Mediterranean Studies (IJEMS) started to be issued.
