However, the first Chicó match at La Independencia, against Gremio F.C. from Brazil, was played at 11th March, with metallic portable terraces to complete the stated 20,630 capacity. In spite of heavy critics about security and utilities from Brazilian authorities and Colombian media, an almost full stadium watched Chicó defeat 0-1.
