Eric Stangel is one of the head writers and producers of the Late Show with David Letterman
. His brother Justin Stangel
is also a head writer and producer.
Born and raised in Chappaqua, New York, Stangel attended Syracuse University, where he graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism in 1993. Upon graduation, Stangel and his brother created a stage show in Manhattan, titled Big City Comedy. The success of the show led to writing work for Saturday Night Live
