, the township has a total area of 65.8 square miles (170.4 km²), of which, 59 square miles (152.8 km²) of it is land and 6.8 square miles (17.6 km²) of it (10.37%) is water. This area is also very famous for its fires due to the vast Jackpine forests known as the "plains" because of its sandy soils and western like fire fuels.
