, Emilio Caprile was the youngest player on Italy's 1950 World Cup
team unfortunaltely he was also one of four players who didn't see any action. Caprile was a classic left wing who made his debut for Pozzo's
national team at the 1948 London Olympics
at 20 years of age. He played in the round of 16 and the quarterfinals scoring a goal in the 9-0 win against the U.S.
and another in their 5-3 loss to Denmark
. That was his last chance at a starting role for the 'Azzurri' due to the fact his competition for that position was against Riccardo Carapellese
