. Though Del Borgo's primary instrument is trumpet, his love of percussion is apparent in his works, which typically focus around intricate percussion parts and an immense variety of instruments and complex rhythms. His style of writing has a rhythmic, sometimes atonal quality.

On November 19, 2011, Del Borgo conducted the Region IX Junior High Symphony Orchestra in the Houston area. There at Klein Forest High School, he conducted three pieces: one was Russian Sailors' Dance by Reinhold Gliere, the other two were selections he composed himself, Meditation and the Variants on a Shaker Hymn.
