Career

On the album Saint-Saens, released in September 2010, Cascavelle Records reissued several piano concertos originally recorded for Sony Classical by Elisso Bolkvadze in Tbilisi. Figaroscope praised them: « Sous l’or de ses doigts, une sensibilité hors norme » "Under her golden fingers, an outstanding sensibility".

In 2010-2011, Elisso Bolkvadze performed in Europe and Russia, at the Ravello Festival in Italy, the Chopin Festival in Bagatelle, France, the Ljubljana Festival in Slovenia, and the Sofia International Festival in Bulgaria. She performed much acclaimed concerts with orchestras in the Salle Pleyel and Salle Gaveau in Paris, France, with the Vilnius Philharmonic Orchestra in Lithuania, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra on tour in Cyprus, the National Philharmonic of Ukraine (Kiev and Lviv), and the Tiroler Symphonie Orchester in Innsbruck, Austria, where she opened the concert season.

In September 2011, she opened the season in Kiev with the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.

Awards

She has won numerous international awards: the Bach International Competition in Leipzig, the Vianna da Motta in Lisbon, the Van Cliburn in the USA, the Margerite Long in Paris and the AXA Dublin International Competition.

The Republic of Georgia awarded her the Medal of Honor and the Medal of Cultural Merit in 2010.
