In 1951 Elena Gorokhova joined the painting department of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin. She studied of Vladimir Gorb

In 1957 Elena Gorokhova graduated from Ilya Repin Institute in Josef Serebrany personal art studio. Her graduation work was a painting named "An Alarm Bell".
Elena Gorokhova has participated in Art Exhibitions Since 1958. She paint genre and decorative compositions, landscapes, still life. Elena Gorokhova works in the technique of oil painting, tempera painting, and watercolors.
