. It is situated in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne
, starting from and including Melbourne Airport
and heading north beyond the metropolitan boundary. It was created in a redistribution before the 2002 state election, replacing the abolished electorate of Tullamarine
.

, Gladstone Park
, Greenvale
, Kalkallo
, Mickleham
, Oaklands Junction
and Yuroke
, as well as parts of Roxburgh Park
