in St. Louis from 1991 until he became assistant director of Cardinal Glennon College
in 1995. He then ascended to director of the college in 1996 and continued in that capacity until 2000. In that year, he received an assignment as pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish
in St. Louis. Then in 2008, he stepped down as pastor to become Director of the Office of Vocations
for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. On July 2, 2008, he was appointed as a Chaplain of His Holiness
with the title, Monsignor
. He was still serving as Director of Vocations when he received the appointment as Auxiliary Bishop-Designate, and he continued in that position until the end of the 2010-11 academic year, which is when he was then appointed to serve again as director of Cardinal Glennon College
