Career

Lobos began his career with Colo-Colo, but saw a gradual decline in his performances due to a shoulder dislocation suffered in a match against Boca Juniors

 in the 2003 edition of the Copa Libertadores. He then departed to Chilean club Audax Italiano, where he was a regular. After his time at Audax he left for Huachipato, but before his debut, an offer from Krylia Sovetov from Russia, and emigrated in January 2005 to Samara.

On January 22 2001 in the South American U-20 Championship played in Ecuador, Eduardo Lobos dressed as a field player since Hector Pinto had 5 players suspended. He scored and helped Chile get to the next phase of the tournament.

Lobos signed a 2 year contract with Hapoel Tel-Aviv, but was released after a week due to lack of physical fitness, overweight, unfitting game style (too risky) and an old injury which limits his moves.

On July of 2011, he was loaned by Colo-Colo to Santiago Wanderers.
