After just two flights in February 2005, the airline ceased operations. After their shut down, the aircraft sat at the southern end Brisbane Airport for several months before being returned to its lessor in Russia.

At the time of Eco Airlines failure, their fleet consisted of only one Yakovlev Yak-42D

 "Combi" aircraft, still on the Russian register as RA-42443. Despite their slow start, Eco still planned to acquire a second aircraft, also in a "Combi" configuration.
