History

East High School opened in 1902 on Alexander Street. It was designed by noted Rochester architect J. Foster Warner

 (1859–1937). Today, it is located at 1801 East Main Street. Since 2002, changes have occurred, including the re-addition of a junior high and the splitting of the school into academies.

Performance

The high school, one of Rochester's oldest, is known for its achievements in academics, athletics, and the arts.
With the AP institute the school has over come many challenges. The school offers over 19 AP credit classes which many students partake in.
