, too, can be accessed easily via the Inner Ring Road. Indiranagar lies very close to Domlur as well. Domlur area has several notable restaurants including 'TGIF' (Thank God its Friday), 'Shanthi Sagar' and 'The Bombay post'.There is a family club too in the area called Domlur Club. Several temples are also seen in this area namely Shaneswara temple,Kalki temple,Sri Suryanarayana Swamy temple, Kodandaram lingeswara swamy temple and a 10th century Chola temple called Chokkanarayan Swamy temple which is probably the oldest in the city of Bangalore.

Location and Facilities

Residents in Domlur have the best of both options - proximity to malls (Oasis on Inner Ring Road, Total Mall on Old Airport Road, Garuda Mall on Magrath Road are all within 10 minutes of a drive) and also local shopping. With good amount of growth in the recent past, a large number of shopping establishments have opened up in Domlur. 7th Cross has a lot of shops and eateries - New Shanti Sagar, Srinidhi Sagar and Red Klov are prominent restaurants while Family Mall is best for grocery.

Domlur Bus Stand is a central place within the locality providing local connectivity through government run buses. Auto-rickshaws are generally easy to find in this busy residential-commercial area.

The nearest hospital is Manipal hospital.

Nearby areas include MG Road (10 mins), Indiranagar (5 mins), Koramanagala (10 mins).

Purva Paradise, Victoria Heaven and Ranka are some of the premium apartment communities in the area. You can also find few row houses across various mains and crosses at Domlur.

This flyover was notorious for its delay in construction and the traffic trouble caused by its delay which was due to the mismanagement by the subcontractor UPSBC ( Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation) http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1133296.cms. The construction of the flyover which was started in early 2003 ended in 2007. The flyover, excluding the outer loops, was completed in July 2006 and opened to public on July 12, 2006 http://www.hindu.com/2006/07/11/stories/2006071121460300.htm. Subsequently, the other loops were opened to public in the next 8 months.

Large numbers of migrants due to employment with Madras Regiment and HAL have altered the ethnic mix.
