Founded in the early 1900s, it moved to its most recent location in Concord in the 1960s after its former building, called Sunnyside Hospital, was demolished to make way for the Staten Island Expressway, part of United States Interstate 278

. The 71-bed hospital was closed in 2003 after a merger with Staten Island University Hospital
