Brief History

Being fully aware of the great role that quality education plays in our National life and having rightfully realized the dearth of good educational institutions to meet the educational needs of the fast growing population of Faisalabad, the idea of setting up an institution of the level of “Divisional Model School (DMS)” as a seat of quality learning was conceived by Mr. Shehzad Hassan Pervez, Commissioner, Faisalabad Division 1989.

Laboratories

College is proud of having custom built Physics, Biology and Chemistry laboratories having most modern equipment including electric micro scope and oscilloscope to prepare the student for F.Sc and “A” Level exams and to generate a spirit of inquiry and research in them.

I.T Department

The department of computer Science has at present 2 computer laboratories with 40 Core Due & Pentium IV computers. The department has excellent computing facilities. These labs are well equipped employing the latest WINNT based network environment. The labs are rich in both software and hardware equipment. Internet facility has also been provided in labs. Every DMC student, class prep onwards, has access to these computers.

Library

As a student at Divisional Model College, you will have access to an excellent range of facilities to enable you to learn independently and maximize your potential. One such facility is the library. DMC library provides library and information services. It houses an expanding collection of reference books, educational cd’s, dvd’s, movies, journals and newspapers. College prescribes for about 25 national and international dailies and magazines. It contains over 7000 books. The reading hall has a capacity of over 50 students at a time and a nice place to study. A large number of books on English literature, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & Biology are also available in the library. A well stocked reference section has been recently added. Library is arranged on Dewey Decimal system.

Auditorium

The College has a large air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000 persons where a number of co-curricular activities are conducted. These activities include professional, regional and national level trainings of own as well as other Divisional Model College, teachers. It is the only Examination Centre being used by British Council for “O” Level, "A" Level and “A” Level Exams at Faisalabad. SSC and HSSC exams are also conducted here by FBISE, Faisalabad.

Extra Coaching
