Honors courses
Desert View offers a comprehensive college preparatory program. In the freshman year, students are encouraged to take the Freshman Honors Block, designed for college-bound students. Freshman English and World Cultures are interwoven to reinforce critical reading, writing and thinking strategies. Honors Biology is also offered to freshmen. - Attitude - No suspensions or referrals.
- Attendance - 98% of Attendance. No unexcused absences.
- Activity - joining extra-curricular activities. Ex: sports. clubs.
- Academics - 2.5 GPA or higher.

Digital Advantage Scholars
The Digital Advantage Scholars, are similar to the Digital Advantage but the Digital Advantage Scholars are provided to only grades 10, 11 and 12. The SUSD school board requirements are a lot stricter. They require maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher.See also
