The Deckdisc officially began his career as a record label in 1998, with distribution from Universal Music. The first success was the series of sound bars, which reached one million copies sold in its five volumes. It was founded by John Augustus who was CEO of Virgin Records

Roger Moreira (Ultraje), Teresa Cristina, Pedro Miranda and members of the Group of Revelation, the Sorriso Maroto and the bands Dead Fish, Gram, and Ludov.
