 in 1963. As a youth, he was singing in a church choir and in the 1960s he started his professional career performing on a Hootennany Folk Tour.

He has recorded albums for ABC Dunhill, Casablanca, MGM and others. He has also partnered a company called Good Karma Productions, run by Vanguard Coffee House (K.C.) owner Stan Plesser, who managed tha acts of folk rock duo Brewer & Shipley
