 and is a union in two parts one a political part and the other a large Professional Network consist of 56 different professional groups located over the entire country of Denmark.

IDA is the association part. The unemployment part is managed by Engineers Unemployment Association (Ingeniørernes Arbejdsløshedskasse (IAK)).

IDA is also the major share holder (5 million DKK) in the weekly magazine Ingeniøren.
