. He has since cemented his spot in the Sea Eagles top grade and as of September 4, 2011 he has played in all 24 games and has played every minute of the 2011 home and away season. The rookie halfback has kicked 24 goals and 3 field goals along with six tries in helping Manly to a 18-6 record and current 2nd on the NRL ladder.
He scored two tries in Manly's 34 - 10 comeback victory over the Brisbane Broncos
, one of which was set up by a flick pass from Brett Stewart
. The first of these tries was also his first ever NRL try.
In round 13 against the Bulldogs, Cherry-Evans crossed the try line untouched from a scrum, performed a one-on-one strip on Dean Halatau and had 3 try assists in a dominating display that saw him named as halfback in the BigPond Sport Team of the Week.
