History

  • April 11, 1969 - Radyo Veritas was inaugurated with Asian Bishops as guests. Antonio Cardinal Samore represented His Holiness Pope Paul VI.
  • November 29, 1970 - His Holiness Pope Paul VI blessed Radyo Veritas studios with President Ferdinand E. Marcos as one of the guests.
  • August 21, 1983 - Radyo Veritas became a byword with its coverage of events related with the assassination of former Senator Benigno S. Aquino, Jr.
  • February 21–25, 1986 - Radyo Veritas kept the nation and the world informed of the famous EDSA People Power I, after His Eminence Jaime Cardinal Sin called on the Filipino faithful to support Defense Minister Juan Ponce Enrile and PC Chief Lt. General Fidel V. Ramos which eventually brought Corazon Aquino to the Presidency.
  • May 17, 1991 - Radyo Veritas begun its commercial operations as DZNN.
  • January 16–20, 2001 - DZRV-Radyo Veritas was once again in the forefront of contemporary Philippine History when His Eminence Jaime Cardinal Sin called on the Filipino faithful to gather at the EDSA Shrine for EDSA People Power II. Millions gathered and called on President Joseph Estrada to leave Malacañang and hand-over the leadership to Vice President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
