Dean parted ways with Dean Corporate in mid 2008 and plans were soon made to launch DBZ Guitars in order to give Mr. Zelinsky "personal control over design, direction and quality" to meet the demands of the custom electric, acoustic, and import markets that Mr. Zelinsky had spent his career helping to establish. The company website features an interactive home page and a forum, where Zelinsky personally communicates with fans of his guitars from around the world.
